Fine Art Restoration

The fine art restoration studio in the Art City is part of the well known Athens and London studios. For the past forty years the London studio has had working associations with foundations and museums such as the British Museum, the Tate and National Galleries, the Victoria & Albert Museum. In Athens respectively, the studio has restored works of art from the National Maritime Museum, the National Bank of Greece, the Athens University, the Vorres and Pierides museums and others.

The studio employs specialised personnel with academic qualifications and long term experience, and uses the most advanced scientific equipment, electronic means, microstereoscopes, vacuum tables and X-ray equipment  for the restoration and authentication of works of art.

The studio restores paintings, icons, mosaics, frescoes, and with external collaboration the restoration of antiquities.

The studio can also handle the annual restoration and supervision of whole collections, by examining regularly the works of art and providing suggestions and written reports on their condition.
